Embrun Beach

An unmissable place for relaxing :

Next to the large Serre Poncon Lake, this smaller artificial lake is also filled by the Durance river.

This lake cannot remain undiscoverd for long as it is a mere 2km from the centre of Embrun and because it is much appreciated by :

For Sports men and women – it holds the swimming event of the renowned EMBRUNMAN

For families – there is an aquatic complex, sailing school, rowing club, canoe and kayak club and tennis courts available.

For Strollers – there is a mini-golf , carousel, jumping castles, kid’s games and vast beaches for sunbathing and playing.

For Fishermen – a delightful, illuminated path of 2.6 km in length surrounds this lake . It is a popular spot for fishing.

There are cafés, gift shops and retaurants with stunning views on the surrounding lake and mountains. The North Beach (which has been cetified « Pavillon Blue ») is monitered by lifeguards during the months of July and August.

Daily displays regarding the quality of the water are shown at the first Aid tower and the temperature reaches 24 degrees.

A three star hotel, a municipal campsite and multiple self catering apartments are available all around this lake.
